    Disappointingly boring. The low budget, the lack of any characterization and the mediocre acting also hamper this film, though I can always let those sorta things go if the story is at least entertaining to see unfold - <em>'2012: Curse of the Xtabai'</em> isn't, at all. The look of Xtabai, which looks a bit like Julie Benz's character in <em>'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'</em>, is alright and they make OK use of it in parts, but unfortunately those minor glimpses don't really do anything for it in the end given the aforementioned. Neat to see a film from Belize, all the same.
